Thanks to its Sustainable Building Program, LACCD is modernizing its colleges and building more than 40 new structures district-wide that will meet LEED standards. In addition, LACCD is generating solar power on its campuses and taking necessary steps to reduce the colleges’ carbon footprint.
KKCS’ Regional Safety Manager was responsible for safety oversight of four campuses: Pierce, Mission, Valley, and City College. KKCS performs safety oversight of building remodels, demolitions, and new construction. KKCS reviewed plans; interviewed safety managers that work for the general contractors; attends team meetings, contractor start-up meetings, and weekly progress meetings; and performed daily site safety audits with contractor safety managers.
